Privacy Policy
How Will Codex Reset collects, uses, shares, and protects information.
Last updated: 2026-08-12
1. Scope and operator
This Privacy Policy explains how the operator of Will Codex Reset ("we", "us", or "our") handles information when you visit WillCodexReset.com, create an account, subscribe to reset alerts, enable browser notifications, purchase a sponsorship, submit advertising materials, or otherwise use the website and related services (collectively, the "Service").
Will Codex Reset is an independent community signal and prediction service. It is not operated by, sponsored by, or affiliated with OpenAI.
2. Information we collect
Information you provide
- Account information: name, email address, profile image, login credentials in protected form, email-verification status, and account preferences. If you use a supported social login provider, we receive the basic profile information that provider makes available with your permission.
- Alert information: the email address you submit for reset alerts and, if you enable browser push, the browser push endpoint and associated public encryption keys needed to deliver notifications.
- Payment and subscription information: order and subscription identifiers, plan, amount, currency, status, billing periods, payment-provider customer or transaction identifiers, invoice information, and payment email. Stripe processes your card and other payment-method details. We do not receive or store complete card numbers.
- Sponsorship information: contact email, company name, display name, tagline, destination URL, uploaded logo, subscription association, review status, and communications or review notes relating to the advertisement.
- Communications: information you include when contacting us, requesting support, or responding to an advertising review.
Information collected automatically
- Technical and security data: IP address, request URL, referral information, timestamps, browser and device type, language, approximate location inferred from network data, error information, and security or rate-limit signals.
- Usage and analytics data: pages viewed and interactions with the Service. Depending on which integrations are enabled, this may be processed through Cloudflare analytics, Plausible, Google Analytics, or similar measurement tools.
- Cookies and local storage: session and security cookies, language and interface preferences, sidebar state, and other browser storage needed for authentication and site functionality. If Google Analytics or Google AdSense is enabled, those providers may also use cookies or similar identifiers as described in their own policies and subject to available consent controls.
3. How we use information
We use information to:
- operate, secure, troubleshoot, and improve the Service;
- create and authenticate accounts and remember user preferences;
- calculate and display reset signals, administer alert subscriptions, and deliver email or browser notifications;
- create orders, process recurring sponsorship subscriptions, maintain billing records, and provide subscription management;
- receive, review, publish, rotate, and remove sponsorship advertisements;
- send transactional messages about payments, advertising review, publication, renewal, payment failure, cancellation, or service changes;
- prevent fraud, abuse, unauthorized access, and violations of our Terms of Service;
- measure site performance and audience use when analytics is enabled; and
- comply with law, enforce agreements, and protect users, the public, and our rights.
Where applicable law requires a legal basis, we rely on performance of a contract, our legitimate interests in operating and securing the Service, compliance with legal obligations, and consent where required (for example, for certain cookies or notifications).
4. Sponsorship materials and public information
Approved advertising materials are intended for public display. An approved sponsor's display name, tagline, logo, and sponsored redirect link may appear on the website and in reset-alert emails. Sponsor redirect links add campaign parameters such as utm_source, utm_medium, utm_campaign, and utm_content before sending a visitor to the advertiser's destination.
The sponsor contact email, payment details, internal review notes, account identifiers, and subscription records are not intentionally displayed publicly. Advertisers should not upload confidential information in logos, taglines, or other materials intended for publication.
5. How we share information
We do not sell personal information in the ordinary meaning of that term. We may disclose information as follows:
- Service providers: infrastructure, database, content-delivery, object-storage, email, authentication, analytics, advertising, security, and payment providers that process information for the purposes described here. These may include Cloudflare, Stripe, Resend, Google, GitHub, and Plausible, depending on the features enabled or used.
- Public display: approved sponsorship materials and information you deliberately make public through the Service.
- Legal and safety reasons: when reasonably necessary to comply with law or legal process; investigate fraud, abuse, or security incidents; enforce our agreements; or protect rights, safety, and property.
- Business changes: in connection with a merger, financing, acquisition, reorganization, or transfer of the Service, subject to appropriate confidentiality and notice where required.
Third parties process information under their own terms and privacy notices where they act independently. In particular, see the Stripe Privacy Policy, Cloudflare Privacy Policy, and Google Privacy Policy.
6. Cookies, analytics, and advertising choices
Essential cookies and browser storage are required for sign-in, security, locale selection, and interface preferences. Blocking them may prevent parts of the Service from working.
If optional analytics or advertising integrations are enabled, they may collect device, usage, cookie, and approximate-location information. You can use browser controls to delete or block cookies and, where presented, use the site's consent or privacy controls. You can also manage Google advertising choices through Google's advertising settings. Browser push notifications can be disabled through your browser or device settings.
7. Email and notification choices
Reset-alert emails include an unsubscribe link. Transactional account, payment, subscription, and advertising-review messages are necessary to administer requested services and may continue while your account or subscription remains active. You can disable browser notifications in your browser and cancel a sponsorship renewal from the Billing area of your account.
8. Retention
We retain information only for as long as reasonably necessary for the purposes described in this Policy, including providing the Service, maintaining transaction and audit records, resolving disputes, preventing abuse, and satisfying tax, accounting, security, and legal obligations.
Retention periods vary by record type. For example, alert information may be retained until you unsubscribe or it becomes invalid; published sponsorship materials may remain cached for a limited time after removal; and payment, order, and subscription records may be retained longer where required for accounting, dispute, fraud-prevention, or legal purposes. We may retain de-identified or aggregated information that no longer reasonably identifies you.
9. International processing
The Service and its providers may process information in countries other than the country where you live. Those countries may have different data-protection laws. Where required, we use contractual or other recognized safeguards for international transfers.
10. Security
We use reasonable technical and organizational safeguards designed to protect information, including encrypted transport, access controls, restricted administrative functions, payment-provider tokenization, webhook verification, and validation of uploaded files. No online service or storage system can be guaranteed completely secure, and we cannot promise absolute security.
11. Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to request access to, correction of, deletion of, or a copy of personal information; object to or restrict certain processing; withdraw consent; or lodge a complaint with a data-protection authority. These rights may be limited by applicable law and by records we must retain.
Account settings provide access to certain profile and subscription controls. For other requests, contact us using the address below. We may need to verify your identity before fulfilling a request. We will not discriminate against you for exercising applicable privacy rights.
12. Children
The Service is not directed to children under 16. You must be legally able to enter into a binding agreement, or have authorization from a parent or legal guardian, to create a paid subscription. If you believe a child has provided personal information without appropriate authorization, please contact us.
13. External links
The Service contains links to sponsor sites, social networks, source material, and other third-party websites. We are not responsible for their privacy practices. Review the privacy notice of any third-party service you visit.
14. Changes to this Policy
We may update this Policy as the Service, providers, or legal requirements change. We will post the revised version and update the date above. Where required, we will provide additional notice of material changes.
15. Contact
